Who we are

The Greens Farmhouse is guest accommodation near Rivington, Lancashire. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact us at thegreensfarmhouse@hotmail.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website, we receive your name, email address, the dates you’re interested in, the number of guests, whether you’re bringing a dog and anything you write in your message. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in your email.

Please don’t send payment card details or other sensitive information through the form.

How we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, discuss availability and prices, and arrange and manage your stay if you book. We don’t sell your information, share it with marketing companies or add you to a mailing list.

Our legal basis is that you’ve asked us to take steps before entering into a booking with you, and, once you book, that we need your details to provide the stay.

Who processes it for us

Our website is hosted by Netlify, which receives and stores enquiry form submissions and forwards them to us by email. Our email is provided by Microsoft (Outlook/Hotmail). These companies may process data outside the UK, and they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law for those transfers.

Our website uses Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to load the fonts. This shares your IP address with Google. Our website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry doesn’t lead to a booking, we delete it within 12 months. If you stay with us, we keep booking records for as long as we need them for the stay and for our legal and tax obligations.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. To do this, email us at the address above.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
